This extremely rare antique watch chain is made of solid 18ct yellow gold and features platinum knotted fetter links between. It is completed with a dog clip, bolt ring fastening, and sliding T-bar.
An albert chain is a decorative chain, originally used to attach a pocket watch to the wearer's clothing. The chain was named after Prince Albert, who was said to have been fond of wearing watch chains. The Dog clip would have been used to attach the pocket watch too and the T-Bar would go through the button hole of a waistcoat to secure in place.
Today these are often worn as necklaces and the clips can be used to hang a pendant from around the neck.
Due to the price of gold, few Albert chains in 18ct Gold remain; many have been melted down over the years. This is a rare and quality find that would make a superb investment for the future.

All pieces may be reserved with a 20% non-refundable deposit.
After the deposit is made, you then have 2-4 months to complete the outstanding balance at your own convenience without any pressure from us.
We usually ask items under £250 to be paid within 2 months and any items over £250 to be paid within 3-4 months. But this can be discussed to suit you.
If a layaway is cancelled, the deposit amount is non-refundable. You are only eligible for shop credit if a layaway item is returned.
