This collectable Antique Georgian Box is fashioned in solid Sterling Silver and is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1825, complete with George IV mark.

This 'snuff' box was originally used for containing snuff, a mixture of ground tobacco and scented oils. These boxes, made to fit inside your pocket, were very popular in the 18th century when snuff-taking was fashionable. These highly decorated and valuable objects became collectors' items in the 19th century.

This is the ultimate collector's item - perfect for those who love to display their antique jewellery in something just as interesting and rich in history.

This fabulous Antique Georgian era box is 198 years old!! For its age, the box remains in superb condition. There is, of course, light wear in keeping with age, but nothing significant to note. The Silver is free from big dents or dings, and the gold gilding remains bright. This rare and sought-after box would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
