This collectable Antique Georgian Box is fashioned in solid Sterling Silver and is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1825, complete with George IV mark.
This 'snuff' box was originally used for containing snuff, a mixture of ground tobacco and scented oils. These boxes, made to fit inside your pocket, were very popular in the 18th century when snuff-taking was fashionable. These highly decorated and valuable objects became collectors' items in the 19th century.

CONDITION
This fabulous Antique Georgian era box is 198 years old!! For its age, the box remains in superb condition. There is, of course, light wear in keeping with age, but nothing significant to note. The Silver is free from big dents or dings, and the gold gilding remains bright. This rare and sought-after box would make a great addition to anyone's collection.

If you require ring sizing, please get in touch. Most of our rings can be sized. This usually takes 7 days. We charge a small fee of £30 for standard sizing. Sizing of 3 sizes or more may be subject to an additional cost.

We gladly accept layaway on all items in our shop.
All pieces may be reserved with a 20% non-refundable deposit.
After the deposit is made, you then have 2-4 months to complete the outstanding balance at your own convenience without any pressure from us.
We usually ask items under £250 to be paid within 2 months and any items over £250 to be paid within 3-4 months. But this can be discussed to suit you.
If a layaway is cancelled, the deposit amount is non-refundable. You are only eligible for shop credit if a layaway item is returned.
