This spectacular Antique Amethyst Paste Riviere Necklace features twenty-six graduating oval cut purple paste stones in quality bezel claw settings. The necklace is modelled in silver and is completed with a box fastener and a pendant drop cross.

Paste is a special type of hand-cut glass used since the 18th century to replicate Gemstones.

The Paste stones are magnificent; they reflect the light beautifully through their facets.

This necklace sits beautifully on the neckline, making it the perfect gift or a great addition to any collection.

This Antique purple paste riviere necklace remains in good condition. The links are all secure, and the box clasp fastener is sturdy 'clicking' shut. Like many antique pieces, there is light surface wear, and a couple of the stones have tiny knocks underneath the stone, but all of this is only noticeable close-up. This looks fabulous whilst worn, and the stones are stunning when the light catches the facets. This remarkable necklace deserves a place in your antique jewellery collection.
