This quality Antique chain dates to the late Victorian period and features many fancy open-work links fashioned in Gold fix, complete with a bolt ring and dog clip fastening.
This chain would look wonderful worn as part of a necklace stack, on its own, as a bracelet or with an antique pendant or charm. The flat profile of this antique chain allows it to sit wonderfully on the neckline.
Gold Fix is a high quality method of Gold plating used on French jewellery in the 19-20th century. Fix is a closely guarded formula of superior quality rolled gold jewellery, copper or brass was covered with unusually thick 18-carat or 14-carat gold which does not typically show signs of wear, unlike most rolled or filled gold pieces.
This is a superb find which would make a great addition to any collection.

This Antique French chain remains in very good condition. The links are magnificently designed with intricate work, a few have slight bends but this is unnoticeable whilst being worn, and doesn't takeaway from its beauty. Both the bolt ring and dog clip securely close allowing you to wear this pretty chain for many more years to come! This antique chain would make a lovely gift or neck stack addition.

If you require a ring sizing, please get in touch. Most of our rings can be sized. This usually takes 7 days. We charge a small fee of £30 for standard sizing, sizing of 3 sizes or more may be subject to an additional cost.

Antiques are usually exempt from import duties, however we cannot be responsible for any duties applied by your country’s customs office. Customs, duties, fees and any import taxes are the responsibility of buyer, as are any return shipping costs.

We gladly accept layaway on all items in our shop.
All pieces may be reserved with a 20% non-refundable deposit.
After the deposit is made you then have 2-4 months to complete the outstanding balance at your own convenience without any pressure from us.
We usually ask items under £250 are paid within 2 months and any items over £250 are to be paid within 3-4 months. But this can be discussed to suit you.
If a layaway is cancelled the deposit amount is non-refundable. If a layaway item is returned you are only eligible for shop credit.
We do also have Klarna set up on our website for UK customers to ‘Buy now and Pay later’ along side an option of Paypal credit within the Paypal checkout option. It is up to Klarna or paypal if they approve the credit agreement, once agreed and approved your item will be sent to you the same or next working day as normal.
