This quality Antique Quizzing glass features a magnifying glass set in Rolled Gold dating to the early 19th century.
The quizzing glass generally dangled at the end of a guard chain worn around the neck and was held up to the eye to “quiz” (stare, glance, look at quizzically) people and objects. The wearer would sometimes glare at a person through his or her quizzing glass as a manner of set-down or mockery.
This wonderful piece of history would make a great pendant or the perfect addition to any collection.

If you require ring sizing, please get in touch. Most of our rings can be sized. This usually takes 7 days. We charge a small fee of £30 for standard sizing. Sizing of 3 sizes or more may be subject to an additional cost.

We gladly accept layaway on all items in our shop.
All pieces may be reserved with a 20% non-refundable deposit.
After the deposit is made, you then have 2-4 months to complete the outstanding balance at your own convenience without any pressure from us.
We usually ask items under £250 to be paid within 2 months and any items over £250 to be paid within 3-4 months. But this can be discussed to suit you.
If a layaway is cancelled, the deposit amount is non-refundable. You are only eligible for shop credit if a layaway item is returned.
