  • The Process

    1. Contact us

Please email enquiries@lancastrianjewellers.com with images of the jewellery you’re looking to sell. Include as much information as you can about the piece, including any damages or flaws it has, if it contains any hallmarks, and if you have any backstory on where the piece came from.

    2. Await a response

A member of our team will respond to your enquiry with a quote for the piece, as well as instructions on next steps. This is where you can let us know if you are happy to proceed with the sale.

    3. Send your jewellery

When we respond to your initial email, we’ll provide you with an address of where to send your jewellery to. Please use a secure method of postage with tracking to ensure your piece arrives as it should.

    4. Get paid

Once the piece arrives with us, we’ll give it an inspection to make sure it lines up with how it was described. We’ll then pay you using your preferred method within 2 to 3 days. We’ll always let you know if the initial quote has to be altered at all, depending on the condition of your antique jewellery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my vintage jewellery worth anything?

Value depends on many different factors, including age, materials, gemstones, condition, and market demand. Even pieces with minor flaws may have significant worth due to gold content or the stones used. A professional evaluation is the best way to know for certain.

What kinds of jewellery do you buy?

We purchase antique jewellery and vintage jewellery from the Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Edwardian, Georgian, and Victorian eras. This includes rings, earrings, brooches and pins, necklaces/pendants, chains, bracelets, charms, and jewellery boxes. If you’re not sure what era your jewellery comes from, send us a request anyway, and we’ll be happy to review it.

What do you consider when evaluating my jewellery?

We assess historical period, condition, gemstone quality, and any flaws with the item. This may vary depending on the nature of the piece, for example with vintage earrings, we’ll also assess the condition of the hooks.

How do I get paid for my antique jewellery?

Once we receive your item and confirm everything is as it should be, we make payment securely via bank transfer. We ensure a transparent process for payment always.

When is the right time to sell my vintage jewellery?

There is no ‘perfect’ moment - most people sell when they have unworn inherited pieces, and they would prefer the value to be realised elsewhere.

Do I still get paid even if my piece doesn’t sell?

Yes. We purchase all items upfront, so your jewellery is not sold on consignment. Once we agree to buy your piece, payment will be made within 2–3 working days, regardless of when the item eventually sells.

What if I don’t know what era my jewellery is from?

No problem at all. Simply send us an email and we’ll be happy to advise. In some cases, we may need to see the item in person to accurately determine its era and value.
