This breathtaking Antique mourning ring features a Pearl halo with a hair locket centre, beautifully textured shoulders and black enamelling, modelled in 18ct Yellow Gold.
The back of the ring is fully engraved inside, reading "Dorothy Hensman, Ob: 6 Aug 1828 ae. 72."
Ob is the Latin abbreviation for obitus (death), and ae is short for aetatis or aetas (years or time of life).
This beautiful quality and highly collectable ring would make a great addition to any collection.

This antique Georgian-era ring is in excellent condition for its age. The band shows no signs of damage, and the pearls are in almost perfect condition, retaining their original lustre. Truly this ring is in remarkable condition for a ring of almost 200 years of age.

All pieces may be reserved with a 20% non-refundable deposit.
After the deposit is made, you then have 2-4 months to complete the outstanding balance at your own convenience without any pressure from us.
We usually ask items under £250 to be paid within 2 months and any items over £250 to be paid within 3-4 months. But this can be discussed to suit you.
If a layaway is cancelled, the deposit amount is non-refundable. You are only eligible for shop credit if a layaway item is returned.
