Antique Stars and Bars 9ct Gold Albert Watch Chain Necklace with Dog Clip and T-Bar | 15.75" length

This fine antique Victorian Albert chain has fancy 'Stars & Bars' style links. Each link is fashioned in 9ct gold and has developed a lovely rosy hue with age.

Albert chains were named after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s consort and were traditionally worn by gentlemen to secure a pocket watch to the buttonhole of a waistcoat. Today, they are also worn as stylish necklaces; a custom that was started by the wives of soldiers during the first World War who wore the chains as a keepsake in the hope they’d return home safely.

It's a wonderful antique Albert chain with a classic T-bar at the bottom and a double dog clip clasp at the top.

CONDITION
This remarkable fancy watch chain remains in excellent condition. The links are solid and secure, with no wear, and the dog clips are in fine working order, keeping the chain secure while wearing. All in all, it is a superb-looking chain and would make a wonderful investment.

US orders placed directly through our website will now ship Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) with DHL— meaning we’ll take care of the new tariffs for you.

Other customs, duties, fees and any import taxes are the responsibility of buyer, as are any return shipping costs.

If you require ring sizing, please get in touch. Most of our rings can be sized. This usually takes 7 days. We charge a small fee of £45 for standard sizing. Sizing of 3 sizes or more may be subject to an additional cost.

Please note items that have been sized or customised are not eligible for a return.

We gladly accept layaway on all items in our shop. 
All pieces may be reserved with a 20% non-refundable deposit. 
After the deposit is made, you then have 2-4 months to complete the outstanding balance at your own convenience without any pressure from us. 
We usually ask items under £250 to be paid within 2 months and any items over £250 to be paid within 3-4 months. But this can be discussed to suit you. 
If a layaway is cancelled, the deposit amount is non-refundable. You are only eligible for shop credit if a layaway item is returned.

You can return your item for a full refund for any reason. Just get in touch within 14 days of receiving your order if you wish to do so. Please see our FAQ page for more information on returns.
