This remarkable find is a piece of history. Modelled in 22ct gold, this ring looks to have been a custom project possibly after the loss of a loved one. The ring features two 22ct wedding bands, one dating to 1851, and the other to 1859, complete with Queen Victoria's hallmarks. These bands have been joined together with a locket front attached, keeping enclosed a lock of hair.

Hair was often using in jewellery during the Georgian and Victorian pieces as a sign of remembering a loved one.

This historic ring would make a superb addition to any mourning jewellery lovers collection.
