This super rare Antique Victorian double drop brooch features many old cut Paste stones with five Pink Paste stones, modelled in Silver.
This brooch is very well made with each stone hand cut and exquisitely set, dating to circa.1880. The brooch also comes with the original fitted box made by the well known Reading jewellers 'Bracher & Sydenham'. Bracher & Sydenham received personal visits to the shop from King Edward VII and he then granted them the Royal warrant towards the late 19th century.
Along with the brooch pin, the back of the piece also features two brackets made to slide ribbon through, allowing you to wear the piece as a pendant around your neck.
Paste is a special type of hand cut glass which has been used since the 18th century to replicate Gemstones.
This beautiful piece would make the perfect gift or a great addition to any collection.

This Antique silver paste brooch is in great condition for the age. As previously mentioned it comes with the original box to add more authentic history to this beautiful piece. The box does have some signs of wear but remains a great home for the piece. The bright Paste stones remain secure and really stand out against its natural patina making for an exquisite statement brooch. The Silver openwork has been masterfully designed with the Paste settings perfectly executed with neat precision. The pin is sturdy and secures the brooch well when being worn giving you the confidence to wear this piece as often as you like.

If you require a ring sizing, please get in touch. Most of our rings can be sized. This usually takes 7 days. We charge a small fee of £30 for standard sizing, sizing of 3 sizes or more may be subject to an additional cost.

Antiques are usually exempt from import duties, however we cannot be responsible for any duties applied by your country’s customs office. Customs, duties, fees and any import taxes are the responsibility of buyer, as are any return shipping costs.

We gladly accept layaway on all items in our shop.
All pieces may be reserved with a 20% non-refundable deposit.
After the deposit is made you then have 2-4 months to complete the outstanding balance at your own convenience without any pressure from us.
We usually ask items under £250 are paid within 2 months and any items over £250 are to be paid within 3-4 months. But this can be discussed to suit you.
If a layaway is cancelled the deposit amount is non-refundable. If a layaway item is returned you are only eligible for shop credit.
We do also have Klarna set up on our website for UK customers to ‘Buy now and Pay later’ along side an option of Paypal credit within the Paypal checkout option. It is up to Klarna or paypal if they approve the credit agreement, once agreed and approved your item will be sent to you the same or next working day as normal.
